HUGE CONFISCATION OF MOBILE PHONES MADE BY BORDER SECURITY FORCE SOUTH BENGAL FRONTIER AT INDO BANGLADESHI BORDER

On the midnight of September 03, 2021, at around 0145 hrs, the troops of the Border Out Post Sasni, 70 Battalion were keeping an eye on the suspected area on the specific information of the Intelligence Department. According to the information, some smugglers were trying to illegally cross the International Boundatry to smuggle various mobile phones and ganja. When the troops asked them to stop, they left the bags and fled back to Indian territory. After conducting a thorough search of the area, BSF troops recovered several bags which were brought to the Border Out Post Sasni. On opening the bag, 149 mobile phones of different companies and 5.4 kg of ganja were recovered from inside them. The value of the seized mobile phone in the Indian market is around Rs 11,66,200/-.


The seized items have been handed over to the Police Station Gopalganj for further legal action.


Sanjeev Singh, Deputy Commandant, Officiating Commandant of 70 Battalion appreciated the efforts of  his jawans  and stated that our troops are fully committed to stop illegal infiltration and smuggling in the area. With the vigilance and understanding of the troops, it has been possible to stop smuggling in the entire area.
